Texting has been around for quite a long time AFAIK, and the acronyms used are NBD for most of us. IMNSHO these short-form communications are fun and quite a time saver for most of us, but I’m NGL, there are a few that make me think twice, but in general are really NP.

I hate texting abbreviation language. Language should be about communicating clearly. There are way too many people who can't spell as it is, and who use incorrect words (that usually mean the opposite of what they're trying to convey). The abbreviations used for texting aren't really needed anymore with predictive text being so common, and generally accurate.
