After a long, two-day [1. present-tense verb] from Texas, successfully not [2. verb ending in -ing] each other in our [3. plural nouns], we met the crowd arriving [4. adjective] in the hotel [5. noun]!
We were immediately greeted by the amazing director of programming, Richard Groller, who kept LibertyCon running [6. adverb]. He, his wife Tish, chairman Brandy Bolgeo Hendren, and all of the con staff/volunteers were amazing, and we can’t thank them [7. adverb] enough!
LibertyCon is [8. adjective] to Raconteur Press because so many of our authors and would-be authors [9. present-tense verb] there every [10. unit of time]. The convention allows us to assess who we are as a [11. noun], hearing directly from [12. plural noun] and readers alike.
We were also [13. adjective] about the guest line-up, because Fan Guest of Honor (GOH) was our good friend and master of [14. noun]-dom, Ben Yalow. During the GOH banquet, everyone was surprised with [15. plural article of clothing] at each of the tables. Everyone donned special [16. same plural article of clothing], to Ben’s delight!
Our big event was the “What’s [17. adjective] at Raconteur Press?” panel that afternoon. Ian, Mike, and Nick donned frock coats, [18. animal]-boy hats, and [19. color] glasses, and Mike and I momentarily sang “[20. plural part of the body],” by ZZ Top.
Our attendance was [21. adjective], holding steady in the 70s and peaking at 79 [22. plural nouns]! As Ian and Mike led the presentation, Jonna manned the [23. noun] show on the big screen while Nick [24. past-tense verb] Wiffle ducks at the audience. We had great [25. noun], with everyone asking great [26. plural nouns] and catching plastic [27. animals]. Shoutout to Jesse Barrett for making all those awesome, [28. number]-D printed toys!
We want to thank Wally and Mechelle Waltner for running the Rac Press party [29. noun], which was stocked with good food, [30. liquid], and always a/an [31. adjective] crowd! Frat houses have nothing on these folks!
Our days started early and ended [32. adverb], and we got to catch up with a lot of old [33. plural noun] as well as meet plenty of wonderful new [34. plural noun].
There was not enough [35. liquid] to keep us going, it felt, and we were all a little [36. noun]-deprived, but we all agreed that the weekend could not have been more [37. adjective].
The convention went by in a/an [38. noun], and soon enough we were on the [39. noun] again. The drive home turned into a [40. noun]-filled, [41. number]-hour meeting, with plenty of joking around and [42. adjective] barbecue.
Along the way home, we met our newest staff member:
