What have your favorite Rac Press authors been up to? Let’s check in and see both what’s new, and the highlights of the past year!
K Anders (Kjell Rosenberg)
My novel Dragonsworn is now available on Amazon and Jumpmaster Press.
Heroes are chosen. Monsters are made.
John Kincaid lived by one rule: Serve the benevolent Dragons who protect Earth from dangers beyond human imagination. Aston Spencer has a magic spark, but he needs John's help to learn the ropes and stay alive long enough to grow into his full potential.
As the final days of the enigmatic Convergence Prophecy arrive, this unlikely duo is called upon to save themselves and the Earth from a looming threat they can't begin to understand.
The ruthless Coven wants them dead.
The Dragons want them ready to fight a war.
Sarah Arnette
It’s been INSANELY busy for me.
I had my first BRCGS audit at my day job. No Non-Conformances and my team achieved the highest possible ratings for a non-surprise audit.
Trained a record number of auditors for the company I work at.
Two releases within the last month: Elven Rock of Ages and The Magic of Yuletide.
Did a Holiday Bazaar. Sold so many books. One couple bought one of everything and then the next day wrote me to say how much they loved my story “FBI Chicken”.
David Bock
Nothing particularly new for the end of the year, but here are two links to my most recent projects: Convoy of Chaos from Three Ravens Publishing and Claus of War: Santa’s Battle Chronicles from Bayonet Books.
Bam Boncher
I had a Christmas podcast with The Blasters & Blades Podcast: “A Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Holiday Movie Review”. And I have a new short story in Reign of Storms from Dingbat Publishing, releasing on 1/2/2026.
Graham Bradley
I did my annual end of year livestream where I recapped all of my 2025 reads, and then wrote up my best-of list for Substack.
Aaron Canton
My most recent release was my ‘golem at Chanukah’ story “A Time to Rest” in Stephanie Osborn’s The Magic of Yuletide. I’m really happy with that one.
Richard Cartwright, Author
It’s... been a little crazy.
And “Succession” in Uncanny Valet:
Plus a story in Reign of Storms from Dingbat Publishing, releasing on 1/2/2026.
Still hoping to get my Boys Adventure done by the end/first of the year. After that I am expanding a alt history short story into a novel. It’s based on the premise that the Sino Soviet war went nuclear and made a lot of good communists.
B. Durbin
Uh... this is where my “I am not an author” defense kicks in. Yes, I have written, and yes, I have published, but writing is so far down the triage list and my life is a bunch of triage right now.
I’ve spent the last semester, for example, dealing with having a senior in high school who was not only maxing out the AP classes, he had a FIVE CREDIT dual-enrollment calculus 3 class at the local community college. And yes, we managed to get his Eagle Project done too. We get to fill out a FAFSA next—not for student loans, because he knows in no uncertain terms that those are a scam, but because a lot of scholarships and grants require that. And then there are scholarship applications. Wish me luck.
Caroline Furlong
This was early in the month, but:
George Grant
My best story of the year was “The Probability Inverter” in Artifact Origins.
JP Johnson
A birdy told me that my debut novel was a go, but break it into two books. Working on that right now to the exclusion of anything else. Got to get it turned in before they change their minds
T.A. Leederman
December career news: I will be editing a themed zine for Tender and Tempting Tales next year, which I’m very excited about. It will be science-fiction romance. I am also working on editing a personal collection of short works right now, all set in the Starship Valkyrie universe. I’ll also be helping Jenna at T&TT host a podcast next year about romance.
What I’m proud of for the year: We relaunched the new ruleset of Starship Valkyrie Advanced with a ton of upgrades, I was elevated to the board at Strategicon Conventions, and I did the marketing and promos for our Tender and Tempting Tales romance anthologies this year, since July. I was particularly proud of our holiday romance anthology, Midnight, Mischief, and Mistletoe.
S. L. Linton
I don’t have anything new for December, but here is the link to my announcement that Rawhide Revenants, which contains one of my stories, is available for purchase:
Fred Phillips
I turned in Sons of Gold and Fire at the beginning of the week. The two highlights of my year are, of course, Dreams of Gold and Fire and “In Nomine Patrice” from It Came from the Trailer Park 5, which is one of my favorite published shorts.
Medron Pryde
I’ve had two stories published in the very recent time. My story “The Veiled Guardians” can be found in Stone and Sky from JanaLee Brown at Opal Kingdom Press, and “Trickster” can be found in Wyld Magick from Three Ravens Publishing. I’m also very happy with my inclusion in Wyrd Warfare: Band of Monsters here at Raconteur earlier in the year.
TC Ross
First of all. Blood Diamonds is out! My first Raconteur novel!
To go with that, I wrote a short story for Christmas called “A Dryad For Christmas”, about a Dryad that sheltered in a Christmas tree and ended up being brought indoors accidentally.
Urna Semper (Parrish Baker)
It’s been a busy month and a busy year. December, I had stories out in both High Class Muscle and Uncanny Valet. I was happy with both stories, particularly the ‘bot one because it was the third Dardana Fenek & Barsina adventure that saw the light of day in Rac Press. Speaking of, one of the high points of my year was getting my Dardana & Barsina novel The Pearl Crucible out onto Amazon (after-action here).
Coming up this month? More subs, working on more novels, and reading submissions to another romance anthology.
John Van Stry
