I truly love these reading these homework assignments. Thank you for sharing these clips and videos. Every time it happens, I find myself thoroughly enjoying the content shared. It is so hard to find new things to consume or enjoy the new things that come out today. I understand that our library of content is huge, almost unimaginable. It is important that we share liked interests with each other. Without this substack, I would have never even heard about the Amazing Stories or "The Mission". Thanks again for sharing and I can't wait to put the imagination to work.

What's the due date for such homework? And what's the feeling towards incorporating religious deities/iconography?

Hey Chase, Chris here - when it comes to religious aspects of a story, if they're fictional religions like say in a secondary world, knock yourself out so long as the content doesn't cross our submissions guidelines (we keep things "PG-13" at most). For non-fiction and real world references, I just ask that you get it right - in other words, if a story's assertions about what the Catholic Church teaches are based on "The Da Vinci Code" I'm tossing it right out. Accurately depict what that particular faith posits as true, not what J. Random Internet Search asserts is true. For example, when writing my story "Works of Mercy" for the Alien Family Values anthology, I researched the difference between a religious sister and a consecrated nun. Or, when I made the diocesan priest a Dominican, there was a specific reason for that to help make the story work. Does this help?
