I've shared this with my Middle Daughter, who has wide contact with homeschoolers. You guys might want to consider having a booth at a few homeschool conventions, especially as you get more books written for children and teens.
Hi James! - Go ahead and send it! We haven't stopped accepting science fiction or fantasy submissions for boy's books, we've just added historical fiction to them. Copy all on the short story - we're not currently planning a short story antho for boy's books, but there is "For Want of a Rivet" if it fits, or, if you can expand it, we'd sure take a look at it.
Looking forward to "Wobbegong" coming out next month, thank you for sending us that!
Amazon has his book collection "GuysRead" one of which is historical fiction.
Not sure how much of the more modern stuff is pozzed: I stopped working in this stuff around the end of the Before Times. YMMV (widely).
Still, a few golden oldies if still in print like Mazer's The Last Mission would be cool. If you still sing "look at them go, the Army air corps!" you know what I me. By guys, for guys.
TL'DR: Raconteur main title image on the top (being currently promoted), with a list of read-alikes on the bottom: "Visit your library or [Raconteur store site code] to read more!
Public libraries still respond to member requests, as far as I know, and in the Free States, you want to be keeping an eye on them. It only takes one HR chick with a degree in Sociology, who got her MLS for the iron rice bowl and "to change the world" to start deconstructing yours.

💯
I wish I'd had these a dozen years ago when I was still teaching 5th grade. I would've made sure to have multiple copies for my students. 🫡
Oh, darn. And my novel is set in the far future, not the past. How about a short story for boys set in 1964 during the Cold War?

I was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek as I've written it to submit to the "Crashed Landings" open submission call.
Might be worth a John Sciezka-style read-alike for a bookmark giveaway. The original guysread site is down but you can grab a look via the Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20130327144817/http://www.guysread.com/

Ordered a Fossil Force for my (kinda) grandsons.
