Interesting experiment - especially on hitting the optimum price point! When you say "the novel" is this marketing and sales tactic going to be applied just to one specific release or multiple novels going forward?
I wrote a story in 16 parts for an indie publisher based on the old "Tom Corbett: Space Cadet" TV show that was published on Kindle Vella. It was a lot of fun. Vella's going away, but the publisher will collect the chapters and put the story out in a book. I can't wait to see what you do with your serials.
I am curious if the sales #s from the 3 serialized parts get counted towards the stats for the complete version, or are those considered 4 different items in the eyes of Bezos?
Is the intent for the pricing of the combined 3 parts to be equal to the compiled version, or is there a premium attached to the serialized approach (given the additional content and the earlier access).
I assume the latter since getting the $ a month earlier is probably not enough by itself to justify the additional effort involved in serialization.
They will be separate items, but the algorithm rewards consistent rapid releases, which I have tested with my own work in the past. There is a premium for the author in having the serials, then full release, which allows them to be compensated for their work while allowing fans options on what they spend on the work.

Unless the first several releases crater, this will be the Raconteur Press model for novels going forward.
Gotcha - thanks!

I'm currently angstipating over which short story to attach to which finalized novel. Also rubbing my hands together in antici....pation.
interesting concept and I look forward to seeing it work!
